A study in structure and erosion. The Sediment Square Vessel moves away from traditional pottery silhouettes to embrace a bold, brutalist form. Inspired by the sharp cliffside geometries and the layered mineral strata of a rugged coastline, these slab-built pieces serve as a canvas for expressive, abstract glaze work.
The surface is treated with iron-rich slips and reactive glazes, applied in gestural strokes that mimic the natural oxidation of stone and the dark, rhythmic markings of seaweed cast against wet sand. Each vessel features a unique "fingerprint" of mineral movement, making it a singular intersection of human intention and geological inspiration.
